Mrs. Charles Reid
Mrs. Lena Wheeler Reid, 46, wife of Charles Richard Reid, formerly of Portsmouth, died at 5:15 am, Sunday in Grace Hospital in Cleveland, where had been a patient for six months. She had been ill for the last year.
Mrs. Reid was born at Blue Run July 21, 1910, to Robert and Rosa Yates, who reside at 2207 Vermont Ave., Portsmouth. Until she moved to Cleveland last year, she had been employed by Selby Shoe Co. She was married April 11, 1931, to Mr. Reid.
Besides her parents and husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard and Warren, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Lewellen of 1902 Kendall Ave., Mrs. Rhoda Meadows of Ray and Mrs. Winifred Riley of Rittman; two brothers, Stanley Wheeler of Beaver and Parker Wheeler of Columbus. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
She was a member of South Shore Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Wednesday at Rehobeth Mission Church with Rev. Alexander Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Scioto Burial Park, directed by Gill Funeral Home, where friends may call.
