Lloyd Earl Reid marries Kathleen Marie Ommen - MN

Fulda Free Press 8/26/1965 "Kathleen Marie Omman of St. Peter and Lloyd Earl Reid of St. Peter were married on Saturday, July 21 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with the Rev. Paul Hanks officiating at the ceremony. Miss Alice Bayer of St. Peter was organist, and soloist was Mr. Adelbert Koopman of Fulda.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jake A. Ommen of Fulda and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Reid of Mankato.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a traditional all white gown fashioned in organza and chantilly lace trimmed with timy pearls and sequins. The fitted basque bodice featured a sabrina neckline, long fitted sleeves and the lace appliqued skirt fell into a full circular sweep train. A ballerina length veil of silk illusion was held in place with a dainty pearl and crystal crown. Her flowers were red roses.

Mrs. Curtis Johnson of Mankato was matron of honor. She was attired in a pink street length dress and carried white carnations. Mrs. John Jonas was the bride's personal attendant.

Mr. Curtis Johnson of Mankato was best man. Ushers were Leslie and LuWayne Ommen, brothers of the bride, and Ronald and Robert Reid. The men all wore black suits.

A four o'clock luncheon was held in the church parlors following the ceremony. Mrs. Edward Ommen poured coffee, and Mrs. Elvin Reid of Hopkins and Mrs. Carroll Meek of Savage cut the cake. Mrs. Robert Smith poured punch, Mrs. Verlyn Ommen registerd the guests, Pam Smith, Karen Dierks, and Mrs. Wilma Farmer displayed the gifts.

Dining room hostesses were Mrs. Ray Stark of St. Peter and Mrs. Jerry Krueger of Delevan. Waitresses were Darlene Haseman, Darlene Schipper, Ardith Meyer, Betty Vogt, Mrs. Ken Seleen, Mrs. Vern Kowal, Mrs. Warren Willis and Mrs. Melvin Dimmel.

Following a week's wedding trip to northern Minnesota and Canada, the couple are now at home in St. Peter where both are employed at the State Hospital."
