Seeking information about the Reed families of Kent and Sussex Counties in Delaware, specifically in the mid-1700s.
I descend from John Reed b. 1779 DE. His father may have been John Reed from Sussex Co., DE that inherited land in Kent Co., Mispillion HD, when wife's father [Zebedee Trigger] died in 1774. They sold this land in 1788 and migrated to the SW part of PA that ultimately was involved in border disputes with VA/WV; John(sr) died in Brooke Co., VA.WV in 1806. Son John [b.1779} paid taxes on the property until he migrated to Ohio in 1833/35
