Seeking information on parents and children of John RAVEN of VA. He and 13 others were transported by John ROOKWOOD, of Northumberland Co. by 8/20/1651. About 1654, after ROOKWOOD's death, Giles BRENT of Westmoreland Co. claimed RAVEN and most of the others as headrights. This area was called the Northern Neck of Virginia. RAVEN was "on Westward side of Petomack River above Puscatoway - 1657." Jno. RAVEN had a son William who was an adult in 1659 when he bought land. William inherited almost all of Moore PRICE's estate in 1663. In May 1659 Jno. RAVEN was a "lame impotent person freed from levies." In April 1669 his estate was attached for 2,020 pounds of tobacco. The word "estate" suggests that he had died by that date. Was he related to the John RAVEN of Dorchester Co., MD who transported his wife Jane and daughters Mary, Jane and Susanna MD by 1672?
