Several years ago a Kentucky Rabun (sp?) I corresponded with told me that her line descended from a son of my WIlliam Rabun (died Wake NC 1813), Allen. There was also a discussion that this William went back and forth between NC and KY. I do not think this was proved but passed down verbally. Was your ancestor def. born in VA? Our William might have been born in VA; we do not know.
If you are interested in the will I can email you a Word doc. of the exact will and inventory. There were five sons and a daughter named and an allusion to "sons and daughters not named" (basically he listed his minor children and his oldest son only).
I will definitely follow up and get my relative to participate - as I said he is 96 and not internet active.
