I'm a direct descendant from the Quevedos of Cebu. I have long been curious to find out the roots of the Quevedos from this region. Feel free to share info on the subject. Provided here are some of the main figures of the Quevedo ancestry in Cebu (Dalaguete). Tomas Quevedo (born around 1800-50's) married Eugenia Plando --from Holomaynon, said to have served as a Guardia Civil Hilario, Herman, Honorio, Vidal, Victoria, Honoria = children of Tomas Quevedo and Eugenia Plando Idilberto, Ecebedo, Julian, Teodorica, Rosario, Constantino = children of Hilario Quevedo and Gregoria Donal Bernardo, Benedicto, Belen, Juanito, Rustica, Pedro, Maria, Giullermo = children of Herman Quevedo and Herminia Munoz Perpetuo, Custodio, Ating, Marcelo, Geronimo = children of Idilberto Quevedo and Modesta Amarila (daughter of Cirilo Amarila and Benita Hereson, and sibling with Matias, Florian, Ildefonso, Eleuteria) Esther, Ricarda, Juanita, Mario = children of Constantino Quevedo and Valeriana Sanchez Esteban, Demetrio, Antonia, Paterno, Victoria = children of Pedro Quevedo and Concordia Asinho (Asinjo) Roberto, Amada, Filemon = children of Maria Quevedo (daughter of Herman) and ... (no record) Francisco, Salud, Andres, Teoderica, Poblita, Florencia = children of Benedicto Quevedo (son of Herman) Belen Quevedo (daughter of Herman) married Maximino Bustamante --------- I am particularly interested to know the lineage prior to Tomas Quevedo and what is the exact relation between the Quevedos of the north and the south and where are the other south-based Quevedos today. To this day, I am only aware that we the Cebuanos are related to the Ilocanos.I have been told that the original Quevedos in Cebu are just migrants and may very well be from the north. And that Tomas Quevedo had a mestizo complexion. You may reply ASAP to carloquevedo_piagroup@yahoo.com Notify Administrator about this message?
