My grandmother, Blanche Dorland Cook had a sister, Ethyl Barnes Dorland, who married Joseph Qualey of New York City, c. 1900. Ethyl and Joe Qualey had children. After Joe Qualey's death in NYC, in the 1920s Ethyl remarried.

I would like any information available about this Joseph Qualey and his ancestors or his descendents. They are related to me through the parents of Ethyl Dorland, my great aunt. Ethyl's parents were James Dorland (1844-1915) and Arabelle America Ireland (1850-1895), who raised their two daughters (Ethyl and Blanche) in Louisville, KY. I have much Dorland and Ireland information. (See my book, ALL OF THE ABOVE II; I would like to supplement with Qualey information in a second edition.

I have very little Qualey information (but I do have Joe Qualey's pocket watch - strange since he had sons).

I would love to obtain information or get in touch with Joe Qualey's descendents.
