Hi Roxanne, I guess the RE: Wm Quaintance & Tamson Buffington should be changed to Re: Wm Quaintance & Tamson Orson. That seems to be the most popular thinking right now.
I have been doing the Quaintance research for my mom's sisters husband's family. They are long gone, but I have been looking into it for my cousin. I used to spend vacation time when I was a kid at "haying time" at their farm in Illinois. I had many happy memories of that time. My uncle by marriage was Clinton Quaintance. He was born in Minnesota & lived in Illinois after WWI in which he served. His father was John Charleston Quaintance b. 1852.
I had thought about buying the book for my cousin to celebrate our happy times!
For now, I will just send him this new information and see what his interest level is and keep in mind your generous offer and keep a lookout for a used book.
