Bill, Thanks so much for helping me sort through some of my information. You are right about all the conflicting names on the boys death certificates. The whole family refered to my great grandmother as Elsie. The last time I talked with Uncle Willis he was quiet elderly and could not tell me a whole lot. I was able to copy directly from his Family Bible. It stated Elsie Polk Thompson Fink died March 19, 1943 at 7.5 in morning age 80 years old. Uncle Willis granddaughter told me her name was Margaret Elsie Polk. I just thought it was interesting that also in the Bible : This is to certify that E. E. Thompson and Elsie Duke (struck through with Polk above) were united by me in the Bonds of Holy Matrimony at S. C. on the 6 day of October in the year of our Lord 1879 in the presence of Mr. Bails and Family. It is also interesting to note that Elsie named one of her sons Joel T. B Dec 19, 1885 probably after her older brother. I know that Ebenezer Thompson is buried at Shiloh. My husband and I were there a while back looking for his grave, we could not find a marker but we did find his brother Davids. There are some Polks buried there but I didn't pay attention. I will have to go back. Unfortunately the records on the cemetery were lost in a fire. Elsie and Ebenezer had a large family 12-13 children, my grandmother Amanda was one of them. I have a picture of Elsie that Uncle Willis gave me. Thanks so much for your help I believe Andrew and Elizabeth were her parents. Vivian Neal Patterson, Rock Hill, South Carolina
