I received an email from Sorenson DNA test service, the 'free' and no info crowd. They are now offering a genealogy report.
This is what I received:
"We want you to be aware that if you requested your kit before May 27,
2009, you are eligible to order a report of your SMGF DNA test results
through our affiliate, GeneTree.com, for a $49.50 processing fee. As
soon as you return your kit, you may make a request through GeneTree to
have your SMGF results unlocked. This unlock allows us to notify you
when the testing is done and give you access to your results through
your GeneTree account."
" For the Mitochondrial test we include all 3 control regions (HVR1, 2 and 3). For the Y chromosomal test we include 43 biomarkers. As per comparing our results with those provided through Ancestry there are some markers that are located at the same spot on the chromosome. However, these results may be reporting in a different way but meaning the same thing. Thank you for your interest in our research and we hope you are pleased with your results provided through Genetree. Keep in mind, that our database is the largest in regard to having both genealogical records as well as genetic information."
