Hi Voyteck and Donna,
There is a WW I Draft Registration Card for Gotttlieb Daft that listed his place of birth as “Cifcan” Poland Russia. I can imagine the draft board clerk transcribing CYCOW as “Cifcan”.
Donna has a copy of that document.
