Bob -

My name is Pete Dougherty. I'm married to Joan (Himsey) Dougherty, The daughter of Albert Himsey and Helen (Smith) Himsey - If I'm not mistaken, Helen is your aunt.

I am researching the Smith family tree for Joan, her siblings and mother. Specifically I am trying to determine the European origins of Olga Giesbrandt, Helen's Mother. I believe her parents were Edward and Emilia Giesbrandt, but I could be mistaken. Helen's birth certificate records that Olga was born in Russia; we were under the impression she was from Germany.
