Looking for any information or connection to Charles/Carl Frederick Boes (Charles may be anglicised form of Carl. He was born circa 1848-50 and is a Ships Carpenter from Norway. He came to NZ circa 1871/72 and was killed in 1882. He was survived by his wife and 2 sons. His father is listed as Richard Frederick Boes on his death certificate. Richard is not a common Norwegian name therefore the father may originally have been from Prussia or Germany/Poland area. Any help greatly appreciated. Sheena.
