Only 30,000 Kalinowski in Poland...to begin with. Laura, I'd go to <Ancestry>in your local library and start a VERY basic search, including the 1920/30 censuses in NY. WWI & WWII may be step # 2. Chelsea district in Manhattan went from 14th St to 34th St/ So. to No.; and Hudson River to 5th Ave.W to E. For example, John J. Kalinowski lived @ 319 W. 28th St. in 1930. Anywho...with the sparse info you have given, you(and) any other-helpers on the forums, have your work cut out for you, IN SPADES!!! Old NYC telephone/address directories, NYC police listings/arrests, military services, etc may be poss-ible sources, hopefully!! "POWODZENIA, pani!!" Notify Administrator about this message?
