I have some information about my family tree, but some of the most recent data is not printed. My father was Amont Andrew Cedric Poirier,b.1914, his father was listed as Joseph Dunstain Poirier. After lots of research, I think his fathers name was really Dosithee from Tignish. My dad was born in Summerside. His father was also known as Daniel Poirier and was a barber in Summerside. Don't know how the names keep changing so much. According to some records my father kept, his grandfather was Amand (could have been Lamand from what I keep seeing in the records. Dan was born in 1890, and had brothers named Arthur Perry (by then they were calling themselves Perry), a brother Joseph, A sister Milda, sister Margaret. Daniel (Dunstain or Dosithee) married Margaret Ann Gallant who died in 1926 in the states, then married Delia Gallant.
I believe that Lamand was my father's grandfather and the son of Joseph who was the son of Moise. Does anyone have any information about this part of the Poirier/Perry family.
