I am trying to find the birth and death date for John Wesley Poe. He was born in Chatham County, NC around 1827 and resided in Orange County, NC prior to filing for a Confederate pension in Durham County, NC in 1904. He is buried in the United Confederate Veterans plot in Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, NC. The Sons of Confederate Veterans Bennitt-Duke Camp in Durham is in the process of installing new headstones for 42 Veterans and we are in need of the dates for his headstone. He served in Company C, 6th NC State Troops. Thanks in advance.
