John Perry was born in Virginia somewhere and I suspect he was from the Spotsylvania, Orange, and Culpepper County area. I don't know his birth date, but he died in 1811 in Washington County, KY. His son Francis travelled to Woodford County, KY in 1823-1824 where his first son and my gggg grandfather Abell Perry was born. Its a mystery to me of why Francis went there, but I think he might have went there because he had relation there. Lewis Perry was one of the older people of that county and still alive at the time, I am wondering if my John Perry and Lewis Perry aren't brothers. I've seen many people say that Mary Wisdom is Lewis's mother and that there is a court record that has an older Francis Perry and John Wisdom escaping jail. I'm wondering if my Francis Perry wasn't named after an older grandfather or uncle.
Also, the family of William Pierce Perry has many names in it that match the names of what my John Perry named his children. I am also wondering if there is some connection to my John Perry, and Lewis Perry, to this family,
John Perry married Rachel Ray, daughter of John Ray, and they had: Francis, Benjamin, William, James, Thomas, Elisha, Sarah "Sally", Nancy "Ann", and Elizabeth
These are normal popular names for the time, but they seem to be heavily carried down through the Perry family.
