Marin Perez and Guadalupe Hernandez were married on
February 15, 1858 in San Antonio, Texas.

Marin and Guadalupe had eight children:

First-born Maria Guadalupe Perez, my paternal great great grandmother, was born on December 12, 1858 in San Antonio, Texas, almost exactly nine months after the nuptials. Maria Guadalupe Perez married Joseph Nestor Jesus Gonzales on February 5, 1875 in the small town of Elmendorf, Texas.

Marciela Perez was born on June 30, 1860 in San Antonio, Texas. She was baptized on July 5, 1860 in San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, Texas.

Eutique Perez, a twin, was born on December 28, 1862 in San Antonio, Texas. He was baptized on January 1, 1863 in San Antonio, Texas.

Ynocencia Perez, a twin, was born on December 29, 1862 in San Antonio, Texas. She married Roberto Esquivel on September 7, 1890 in Elmendorf, Texas.

Santiago “Diego” Perez was born on November 12, 1865 in San Antonio, Texas. He was baptized on November 24, 1865 in San Antonio, Texas.
He married Librada Beltran on February 17, 1890 in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Elmendorf, Texas. He died on March 20, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas.

Alvino Perez was born on February 15, 1868 in San Antonio, Texas. And was baptized on March 15, 1868 in San Antonio, Texas.

Luisa Perez was born on August 9, 1868 in San Antonio, Texas. She was baptized on November 1, 1868 in San Antonio, Texas.

Petra Perez was the last of the brood, born on January 3, 1885 in Elmendorf, Texas. Twenty-five years after the birth of her oldest sister, Maria Guadalupe! Petra was baptized on April 4, 1885 in Elmendorf, Texas.

Agapito Gonzales and Josefa Revelear or Revoleada were also born around 1835. Agapito was probably named after Saint Agapitus, Agapito in Spanish, whose feast is celebrated today on April 18, but was previously recognized as on August 18.

Agapito Gonzales was married to another unknown woman, but had at least two children with the widow Josepha "Chapita" Revoleada. Daughter, Paula, born on January 24, 1854, and son Joseph Nestor Jesus, born March 20, 1856, both in San Antonio.

Joseph Nestor Jesus Gonzales and Maria Guadalupe Peres were married on February 3, 1875 in Floresville, in Wilson County, Texas. Part of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Nestor and Guadalupe had two children: Catarina Gonzales in 1877, and our great grandmother, Antonia Gonzales, in 1879 born in Floresville, Wilson County, Texas. They moved to Brackettville, in nearby Kinney County, while Antonia was still an infant. Just in time to be counted there in the 1880 census.

Floresville was founded by Canary Islanders. There’s a Canary Islander Cemetery very near Floresville.
I suspect my ancestors were Canary Islanders.
I hope to connect my tree to others in San Antonio.

Please do let me know if you know of any connections.
