My great great uncle Harry Clinton Peet hand wrote his lineage going back to 1598 as follows;
"I Harry Clinton Peet being of the age of eighteen years and upwards, hereby apply for membership inthe society by right of lineal descent in the following line from Dr. Abiram Peet who was born in Woodbury, Conn.on the 20th day of July,1737 and died in Canaan, Conn.on the 22nd day of April 1786.His place of residence during the revolution was Canaan, Conn.
1.I was born in Vicksburg county of Kalamazoo, MI on June1,1882. I am the son of Henry Frank Peet born on 11/29/1855 at Battle Creek, MI,died at Vicksburg, MI on 8/2/1886, married on 3/4/1880 to Ella Best bornon 9/30/1863 at Vicksburg,MI and died at Kalamazoo,MI on 7/29/1944.
2.The said Henry Frank Peet was the child of Frederick Plumb Peet born on 6/9/1812 at Salisbury,Conn and died at Battle Creek, MI on 12/30/1878, married on 11/20/1845 to Mary Ann Norton born11/16/1821 at state of New York,died at Battle Creek, MI on 4/4/1895.
3.The said Fredrick Plumb Peet was the child of Dr.Abiram Lewis Peet born on 5/26/1772 at Canaan, Conn. died at Salisbury, Conn. on 4/8/1812 married on 1791 to Lois Bidwell bornon 5/22/1772 at Canton Ct., Conn died at Victor, NY on 12/25/1835.
4.The said Dr. Abiram Lewis Peet was the child of Dr. Abiram Peet born on 7/20/1737 at Woodbury, Conn. died at Canaan, Conn. on 4/22/1786 married on 11/19/1767 to Anna Lewis born on 2/2/1739 at Woodbury, Conn. died at Canaan,Conn. on 9/10/1807.
5.The said Dr. Abiram Peet was the child of Lt. Richard Peet born on 8/30/1696 at Stratford, Conn. died at Bethlehem, Conn. on 1760 married on 11/11/1724 to Sarah Curtis born on 7/28/1705 at Woodbury, Conn. died at Bethlehem, Conn. on 1758.
6. The said Lt. Richard Peet was the child of Benjamin Peet born on 8/31/1665 at Stratford, Conn. died at_____on 1704 married on 1688 to Pricilla Fairchild born on 4/20/1669 at Stratford, Conn. died at Stratford, Conn.on 1721.
7.The said Benjamin Peet was the child of Benjamin Peet born on 1640 at Stratford, Conn. died at Stratford, Conn.died at Stratford, Conn. on 5/1/1704 married on 1662 to Phoebe Butler born on 1642 at Stratford, Conn. died at Stratford, Conn. on 1729.
8.the said Benjamin Peet wa the child of John Peat born on 1597 at Derbyshire Duffield Parish England died at Stratford, Conn. on 9/1/1684 married on ________ to Anne ? born on 1598.
