I hope this is the same Jane. Her maiden name was Jane McMurty Steele. She was born in Kentucky 8/22/1812
She and her first husband Felix Allen Richardson had at least 4 known children. Elizabeth was born 5/8/1834. Eliza Ann 4/18/1832. Marian 6/15/1833 and Felix Allen 12/11/1835. Felix was born after his father's death in Texas. Given the date and place of her husband's death it appears he might have been part of the Kentucky Volunteers who traveled to Texas to fight during that revolution. I know he died before at San Jacinto and prior to the Alamo.
Apparently Jesse never adopted these children because Elizabeth's maiden name is listed as Richardson.
