Hello. Hunting the death date and descendants of British fiction writer William George Payne. Late became a fiction writer under the name of Paul Feakes. Below are the facts I have thus far: attended the primary school called St. Michaels attended the Emanuel school from 1910-1914. Father given as "D. Payne," and was a Police Constable. With the given data, I logged into THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES, and then into the World War One database, and found one William George Payne that did match against the Royal Navy born 20-Nov-1898. The date is correct. This is him. Catalogue Reference Number: ADM 337/43 RNVR Division: London Service Number: Z/6409 I assume the Archives has more details information on the young man than are accessible to me, but this is the only reference to this person I could find.
