As a supplement to my previous entry, Louisa Payne may also be Eliza Payne b about 1803, NY. Johnathan Crane reports his mother as Eliza Payne and his sister Melvina reports her mother as Louisa Payne. In the 1850 Erie Co PA census, Gilbert Crane is living with Eliza Payne and 8 children. Apparently, she died before 1860 as she does not appear in that census.
