Does anyone have information about Louisa Payne born about 1800 in New York? She married Gilbert Crane and apparently died before 1850, as Gilbert in the 1850 census (Erie Co PA) is living with a woman Eliza. There are eight children in the 1850 census. The oldest child is 6 years older than the oldest of the other seven, so I am thinking that Adeline, Johnthan, Melvina, Marvin, Bradley, Franklin, & Gilbert are children of Gilbert and Louisa. Louisa must have died about 1846. Any information about Louisa Payne would be helpful.
