Rachel - thanks for your data.
I have all the baptism info on the children of John Pain (sic) and Dorothy from the FHL Vital Records index. I don't know much about Thomas Payne, since I've only just discovered he was the father of Elizabeth (b. ca. 1807). Elzabeth was married in Ilchester, Somerset Co, in 1825, then she emigrated to Ontario, Canada around 1831, with her husband John Walter and 2 sons. Maybe Thomas went to Somerset or to Canada? I haven't looked for him in either place yet, but I will. Thomas Payne married Sarah Hayward in Thornford, Dorset 10 Jan 1804. I think another of their children was Robert, b. ca. 1808.
