Re Parry family of Llangwyryfon, Cardiganshhire, I am descended from Thomas Parry, carpenter, and Elinor Morris (Morrice)who married in 1778 and had twin sons Stephen and Rees Parry in 1779. Rees died a few weeks old. I am descended from Stephen who was also a carpenter and "died while hanging a gate'' in 1848 according to his death certificate. His daughter Eleanor married David Morgan, a weaver, of Llanilar in 1847. A vestry book shows Thomas Parry built an oak gate for the Llangwyryfon churchyard in 1782 for thirty shillings.
