J. D. "Tobe" Parmer b 1850 (?) owned and operated a cotton plantation, Schellowe-Shadows/Shallows?, on the east side of the Mississippi River, near Tunica, Tunica, MS. Tobe's father was W. F. Parmer, who married a daughter of Robert Vaught and ??? Traylor, probably of Bolivar, Hardeman, TN.
