Can someone help me? I have a George Parks who bought land in Frederick Co, VA in 1751. He moved to Rowan Co, NC before 1760 because he sold the land then to Thomas Sharp living in Frederick Co, VA. George died in Rowan Co, NC in 1782. Most postings indicate that the George Parks that died in Rowan Co, NC was born in 1736 but this cannot be correct because George would have been to young in 1751 to buy land if he was born in 1736. I believe that the George Parks that was born about 1711 would be the individual that bought the land in 1751 and died in Rowan Co, NC in 1782.
