I am a Pagan descendant. My Pagan line runs from David Pagan to John Pagan to David Pagan to his son, Alfred/Alford Pagan (born Meade Co., Ky. and died in Craighead Co., Ark.)
I have made application to the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the only item I need to finish my application is proof that David Pagan (born about 1822 in Viriginia and died about 1864 in Daviess Co., Ky.) was the son of John and Polly H. Bradley Pagan.
John and Polly's son, David Pagan, married Hannah Haws (or Halls) on Nov. 8, 1840, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky. David and Hannah Pagan were listed as taxpayers in Meade Co., Ky. In 1850, they were in Daviess Co., Ky. David supposedly suffered a heart attack and died while he was in the barn feeding stock in 1864 in Daviess Co. This informaiton has been told over and over through generations, but I have not been able to verify this. I have found no burial spot for him in Daviess Co. either.
Any help you can give me to prove that my David Pagan is the son of John and Polly Pagan would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
