Thank you to Linda and Sherry and more on the Pagans of Glasgow

I wanted to thank Linda and Sherry for the posts. This is new information to me and I appreciate it. The Pagans that were associated with the Pagan shipping firm in Glasgow were well known on both sides of the Atlantic and were partners with the Reverend John Witherspoon in the Nova Scotia venture. They owned the infamous ship "Hector" that brought many of the Highlanders over to the colony established by Witherspoon. John Pagan appears in colonial records and also another David Pagan, also James. For more information on this branch of the family, read Bernard Bailyn's book, Voyagers to the West: A Passage in the Peopling of America on the Eve of the Revolution. Available on Amazon and in most libraries. There is quite a bit of information on the Pagans' and Reverend Witherspoon's business ventures in the colonies.
