I am not researching this family, just entering information from the book "Along the Potomac, Extracts from the Maryland Gazette, 1728-1799" by Edith Moore Sprouse:

"John West, Hunting Creek, Virginia, advertises for rent the place where John Pagan formerly lived and kept his store. Located at the head of the creek, it is with all houses necessary for a trading person. West lives near there. (29 apr 1746)"

"A lottery will be held at Belhaven in Fairfax County, for building a church and market house.....(24 Apr 1751)" Among the managers of the lobby was listed a Mr. John Pagan.

"A one-acre lot on Great Hunting Creek, at Cameron, is for sale by John Pagan. It is in the center of four public roads leading up and down the county, exceedingly well suited for trade. The dwelling house is 26 feet square, brick cellar 7 feet deep, kitchen 24 x 18 feet, storehouse 24 feet square in which is a couting room 12 x 16 feet, garden 144 feet square, paled in. Also a tract 1/2 mile away of 575 acres. Apply to the subscriber at his house in Cameron. (6 May 1751)"

"John Pagan, again advertises for sale a lot in Cameron. In addition to the last ad, he is now selling a 236-acre tract that is 2 1/2 miles away, with a plantation and good dwelling house; 275 acres 5 miles away. A lot in Belhaven convenient to the landing, with a warehouse, 36 x 24 feet, with stone cellar (further details given); All to be sold on December 10 at his house in Cameron. (30 Oct 1751)"

"John Pagan repeats his former advertisement, and offers for sale a sloop and two tobacco flats. (2 Nov 1752)"

"George William Fairfax seeks return of runaway servant named Billy. 'Has stooping in his shoulders and a shy look.' Formerly belonged to Mr. John Pagan, merchant, near Alexandria. Often had travelled with his master and thought to be heading for Philadelphia. (7 Jul 1757)"

"John Pagan, Alexander Brown & Co., are merchants in Glasgow. (4 Feb 1762)"
