Has anyone any information for the Ottilar/Otter family from Portland and surrounds. Our line begins with Thomas Ottilar b. Abt 1645. His children were Mary, Thomas b. 1685, John b. 1687, Langton Herring Dorset.
About 1719/ the name changed to Otter and has continued as such.
My great x 3 grandmother was Susanna White Otter b. 1839 daughter of William Otter b. 1818
Would love to hear from someone who is connected, especially in the UK
