Hi! I've hit a brick wall and am trying to find any information regarding the parents of:
Joseph F. (Francis?) Reilly (O'Reilly) b. abt 1870 in CA, d. 22 Mar 1931 in San Francisco.
Joseph was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Charles Borromeo Church in SF and the Pacific Service Employees Union.
Joseph F. Reilly (O'Reilly) obit lists him as having two sisters:
Nellie Richberger b. 29 July 1974 in SF, CA d. 5 Apr 1960 in SF, CA
Emma Lamey b. abt 1881 in CA d. unk
His wife was:
Eunice M. Elliott b. abt 1867 in CA, d. 21 Nov 1933 in SF, CA
They had 3 children:
Joseph Albert O'Reilly b. 4 Feb 1908 SF, CA d. 5 Jul 1988 Medocino, CA
Raymond James O'Reilly b. 16 Jul 1909 SF, CA d. 25 Mar 1997 Santa Clara, CA
Eunice Reilly b. 5 Mar 1912 SF, CA d. 30 Oct 1918 SF, CA
From various census, I have gathered that his parents were both born in Ireland. Eunice's (his wife)parents were also born in Ireland.
At some point it looks like their name was changed from Reilly to O'Reilly or was always O'Reilly and the O was simply dropped occasionally.
I'm happy to hear of anything regarding the Elliott's too!
