Hi Mary,
I have been searching and searching for the family of my grandmother, Alice Elizabeth Conway born in Chicago in 1870, the year before the Chicago Fire. There are no birth records; they were destroyed in the fire. She was Roman Catholic, however I don't know where to look for christening or church records.
Your Catherine is my grandmother's aunt. Do you know Catherine's maiden name or anything that might help me find the family.
