On their Marriage Certificate in the State of Montana in the County of Flathead dated 3rd of Jan 1984 - Witnessed Dec 27th, 1983 list the following information:
Jesse A Carpenter white age 21 born Williamsport, PA and now residing at Kalispell in the county of Flathead in the State of Montana and the son of David A Carpenter and Hattie Newcomer, with Maggie O'Leary white age 19 born at Hutton Michigan and now residing Kalispell in the county of Flathead in the State of Montana and the daughter of Mark O'Leary and Mary Sullivan.
St. Richards Catholic Cemetery at Columbia Falls, MT list a Carpenter, Margaret d. 16 April. 1901.
MAY 11th, 1901 in the Kalispell Bee local newspaper - states: The Body of Mrs. Jessie Carpenter who recently died in Butte, was brought to Kalispell Thursday night and Interred at the Columbia Falls Cemetery yesterday. Mrs. Carpenter was the Mother of Mrs. Leary of the west side.
US Census 14th day of June 1900 lists Jesse and Maggie but also their son Charles M. as Montana born 1897 at the age of 3.
Why did Maggie die in 1901 - It may be due to child birth!?
Charles M. Carpenter is the only child!?
