St. George cross on the O'Leary coat of arms?

Hello, I've been trying to obtain a definitive coat of arms for the O'Leary surname. There seem to be a few out there but several websites show one with a ship that has a flag of St.George flying. Can anyone tell me why an Irish surname's coat of arms has an English flag? I've been searching online for ages but can't find the reason why, so perhaps one of you guys can help?
