I have since been led to believe that my ancestors birthplace was not BRANDON, County Kerry but BANDON, County Cork and there was also an elder brother, Timothy Edward Leary who was born c. 1825. Some of the descendents did revert back to the name O'Leary by the 1901 census after they moved to Yorkshire, England.
So we have Jeremiah Leary/O'Leary c. 1796, his wife Mary c. 1807, Timothy Edward c. 1825 and Daniel c. 1828. By 1835 when their next son John was born they were in Barnsley, Yorkshire. Jeremiah was a weaver.
I would be grateful for any information that may help me in my research.

Regards
Diane
