Tipperary O'Learys > Australia & beyond

Hi All,

Still having issues that I though I'd repost, I have Daniel O'Leary from Tipperary, Ireland who married Johanna Ryan.

These may have come to Australia with their children Patrick (b 1834, marr Mary Anne Hyde), Mary (b 1837, marr Thomas Walsh) and Daniel (b approx. 1840, marr Hannah O'Flaherty), but I have recently found from a cousin, Brendan O'Leary in Scotland that in family stories, "apparently in the original emigration there were something like 5, 6 or 7 O'Leary brothers and all went to America except our Daniel who came to Australia. Another verbal tradition was that of the original Daniel, one parent was from Cork and one was from Kerry or Tipperary."

Judging from family naming traditions, we are lead to believe that Daniel's father may have been a Patrick.

Does any of this sound familiar to anybody

Best Regards
