Hi Susan:

The source for my information related to Gideon Moon is Howard Richardson's: The Moon Family and Its Several Phases, Revised Edition. According to Richardson, Rachael Glenn's mother was May Ingram. Mary was the daughter of Gideon Moon. Richardson's source for this information is: Lunenburg Co. VA WILLS- 1746-1825 by Landon C. Bell, VA Book Co., Berryville VA.,1972 #361 Moon, Gideon 6-6-1790, 10-14-1790 WB3-pg 372.

On page 24 Richardson displays a chart of the New Kent County Va. Moons. *Gideon Moon (b. ca 1740 NEW kENT Co. VA d. ca 1790) is listed as the second son of Peter Moon II (bapt. 13 Oct 1710 New Kent CO. VA.) Peter II was the son of Peter Moon and Elizabeth Smith. Peter was born 24 Jan.1683, and married 1 Jan.1709. Peter I was the son of Stephen Moon.
* " Gideon Moon was a Rev. War Soilder. He would therefore
have to be son of Peter II." p. 24.

I hope this material agrees with your findings.
