A number of the G.A.R. boys gave Mr. James McMaster a little surprise party last Thursday evening, this being a farewell visit to their chieftain previous to his starting to Kansas. Euchre and other games, vocal and instrumental music, etc. made the evening pass off very pleasantly. About twelve o'clock the boys all wished Jim a pleasant journey and save return and departed for their several domiciles.
