I believe that this is a branch of McMaster that originated (?)in Newberry, SC. They lived about one generation in Greene and Lawrence Co., AL and then moved on to Itawamba Co., MS.
After about 15 years, part of the family moved on to Rusk Co., TX and then to Wharton Co., TX.
The other part left Itawamba Co., some years later to go to TX. Due to illness on the way, they stopped in southern AR. They remained there.
