Do you know the parents of James?
The info i found must be wrong, it said James was the natural son,bailiff of the estates and gave his sons as Charles and Rev. Theobald.
My father had a family tree but it stopped at Francis Earl of llandaff and his daughter Lady Elizabeth who was
unmarried but had three sons Captain William Fitzwilliam Mathew/s, Thomas and Robert.I found her Will and she does mention her sons so i am trying to find info on them. I think there are two generations to find.
Then comes my great g/father William Henry Dundas Matthews,my G/father George Humphrey Matthews and my father Edward Matthews all from Dublin area.
I thought Thomastown Castle was left to a french cousin (Chabot). Thanks for giving me your info, i find it all very interesting.
