Hello Heidi,

I am doing extensive research into 18th century McPhees -- regardless of the spelling -- who settled in North America.

Can you tell me anything about Alexander McFee of Cherry Valley? When and where was he born? Was he Catholic or Presbyterian? When and why did he come to North America? Where did he land and how did he make his way to Cherry Valley? Did he serve in any of the Highland regiments during the French and Indian War 1754-60? Was he associated with Sir William Johnson of the Mohawk Valley? What was his wife's maiden name? Did he marry her in Scotland or in North America? Do you know the names of their children? When and where were they born?

At the moment I am primarily interested in the generation(s) which emigrated from Scotland. I am trying to identify and sort out the various McPhee lines in the 18th century. I would certainly appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks.
