Hi Richard, thanks for responding so quickly. "My" Catherine McAfee married Peter McGraw June 22 1807 at Loretto Pa; his family had moved to Greenfield Twp in Bedford Co Pa with severeal Catholic families from Maryland, where their families had been for many years, since Lord Baltimore helped them to settle there.I haven't found any other info on Catherine. Peter McGraw's mother was a Shirley, and the Shirleys had settled in BEDFORD co, but they left Bedford Co in the early 1800's and went by raft on the Monongahela River to Pittsburgh then down the Ohio River to Marietta, Washington Co, Ohio. I wonder if the McAfee family of Matthew went to the same spot.My Peter & Cath. McGraw stayed in Bedford til her death in 1830, then he followed his sons to Warren Co., Pa, not far from my home. Thanks for your interest; it's hard to find someone looking for McAfees who aren't Canadian or southern! Take care, Patti
