Abby McCauley, b/c, (Unk). We have two pictures of Abby McCauley one with the inscription on the back that reads “Sister of William C. McCauley” On 12 July 1849 an “Abbie McCauly” of Alexandria married a Mr. Reed of Petersburg (it has not been confirmed that they were one in the same. Nothing more is known about her)
James Harry McCauley b. 1825 Philadelphia, PA
Served: Privet Co. E 8th Inf Reg. CA Fort Point, San Francisco, CA [24 Dec 1864 - 24 Oct 1865]
He possibly returned to Altoona or Huntingdon, Pa. area and remained a bachelor for life. No recorded death record has been found as of yet.
