I have noticed that all of the Questions on the board relate to this chart, I recieved this copy of a MacAskill geneology chart that dates back to 1170. There is so much information but alot has to be filled in it looks like the 1st male child was the only one to be placed following the father, this also goes in line with the geneology of the MacAskills at MacAskill.com, which is full of historical info. 1 Tasquil 1179 2 Allan 3 Torquil 4 Allan 5 John Dub Allan John Malcholm / / / / 6 John Tascuil Kenneth Donald / / / / 7 John Dub Hugh Peter Allan Donald / end end end / 8 John Mor > 8 Alexander > 8 Allan Tasquil / / / / 9 John Og 9 Rev. Malcholm 9 Neil James / / / / 10 Kenneth 10 Donald of Eigg 10 Angus Donald* Dubh An Dunan / / / / / 11 Donald 11 Hugh of Talisker 11 Norman Neil Norman Later of Dubah an Dunan / / ** 12 Angus * Donald Giant / / end Alexande Malcholm / / John (Dr) Isa * This line is said to be from Island of Berney ** Angus Giant MacAskill family. I hope that this old chart will help it takes a little while to understand the lines, I have them running from father to son, note, these lines are only one son from the family, you'll have to fill in the blanks, I ended the line with end, where there is no child on the to follow the father. Let me know if you make connections this is my family and would like to exchange information as it grows. Dianne MacAskill, MacKenzie, Makinnon, Macleod. Notify Administrator about this message?
