Hi Renee. My husband's grandfather's name was actually James Ernest Mabee and he died on December 22, 1956. Here is what his obituary said: "J. Ernest Mabee...was born Dec 30, 1886, in Jamestown, the son of George H. and Phoebe Stout Mabee, and had resided in Jamestown his entire life. Prior to retirement in 1953, he had been employed by Shearman Brothers Company as a spring setter...Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Smith Mabee; a daughter, Mrs. Stacy N. Rowley; a grandson, Stacy Rowley, Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Stohlcrantz, all of Jamestown." I trust that George H. Mabee was the "Hawley" that you discovered.
