Hello,
I have a Mathilda Leval as one of the sponsors at my grandmother's baptism (1895, NYC). My great-grandmother was Mary Vallery from the Valliere line and of Indian (Algonquin) mixed (Metis) blood. I suspect this (Leval) was a cousin from within the Valliere lineage. Feel free to write--thank you.
