I am a HOOD researcher for Monroe Co, KY and Barren Co, KY. Am interested in learning if your John J. LEVALL could be the son of Isaac LEVALL m. Sally HOOD on June 21, 1823 in Barren County, Kentucky.
Thomas HOOD is posted in the 1810 and 1820 Barren County, Kentucky census. Charles HOOD & Sarah BOWLES also had several children in the area.
The HOOD did have a connection to the state of Indiana as some of them migrated there during the Civil War to avoid the conflicts in Kentucky.
