Hi there,
It has been a while since this message was posted, but I sort of stumbled accross it. There are not many Lavers in New Zealand, but my partner is one of them. I am not sure of the exact history, but my partners grandfather moved to New Zealand, but not sure when. I think his name was Charles Carew Laver, always known as Carew. He died in the 1960's. I think he was married to an Elizabeth. He had a son and a daughter, his son is Thomas Carew Reynell Laver, my partners father. As far as I know my partner, his brother and his dad are the only lavers in New Zealand.
