My father was born in Basilicata in the town of Pietrepertosa about 1890 and came to America about 1900.
He married my mother, who was from Bohemia, in the Bronx, New York, about 1920.
I have been to the town where he was born and there still are people there with the same name and in fact one of the mountains near this high hill village has the name Lauria.
Thats all I know.
